The Sedona Marathon, February 4, 2012

This year’s Marathon is Saturday, February 4th.. Expectations are for more than 2,500 to participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K races, all departing from Sedona Medical Center (parking on Navoti Drive in Sedona). There will be staggered starts for the runners which will take them through the scenic Coconino National Forest, known for its magical red rock formations. We challenge you to capture the inspiration of the red rock spires, feel the draw of a Sedona Vortex, expand your mind and body as you travel through energizing ancient mountains, and breath in the clean high desert air. There are also training runs scheduled on two Saturdays , January 14th and January 21st. These will follow the same route as the marathon and give participants a chance to warm up and enjoy this fabulous course before the race, perhaps just run with friends.
